Get Your Voices Heard
We need everyone who believes in coming together for safety and equity to sign up and share these ways of helping the movement for change.
Write-in/Call-in Campaign
We are asking local leadership for full support of all demands. In addition to signing the petition, you can help these efforts by making your individual voices heard by writing and calling local leadership. There are templates below for convenience.
What to do: There are a number of important steps we can take:
- Copy the email below, add your info, and send it to the Police Chiefs, Burlington City Council, Graham City Council, Alamance County Commissioners and staff.
- Use the phone script below to call and have a conversation or leave a voicemail for those leaders.
- Call and leave a public comment voicemail (until 5 pm on Monday before Council meetings) and/or make a public comment during the meeting (check each City/County schedule for meeting times).
- Fill out the Report Back form as you go along so we can track our progress. (Why is this important? It allows us to know the frequency of requests from the community as a whole when we are in communications with our leaders demanding change - it means we've got each other's backs with our accountability)
